Listen to “Cross Word”
A woman standing next to a crucifix statue with Jesus on the cross, decorated with a small shrine with a wooden roof, in a flower bed with red flowers, outside a house with green window shutters.

I’m Michele McAloon. After a career in the U.S. Army I earned a licentiate in canon law and began practicing as a canon lawyer.

And, in March 2020, I began hosting a literary podcast, Cross Word.

Stack of three hardcover books with a smaller notebook on top, open notebook with a pen beside it on a dark surface.
A woman with curly gray hair leaning against a textured white wall outdoors, with green foliage in the background.

I created Book Clues for enthusiasts of reading in a range of genres. It’s a place for open discussion, ideas, and engagement.

Author interviews on History, religion, current events all intersect as each episode tackles new themes, works and authors. We discuss everything from the war in Ukraine to “A Charlie Brown Christmas Special.”
